This site is edited and maintained by David Rosenberg, Professor of Political Science, (rosenberg@middlebury.edu). It began as a student-faculty collaborative research project at Middlebury College, with mapping and graphic design provided by Ben Humphrey, '99. It was launched on the Internet after development in the Department of Political and Social Change, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies (RSPAS), at the Australian National University (ANU), in 1998-99. It received the generous assistance of T. Matthew Ciolek, editor-in-chief of the Asian Studies World Wide Web Virtual Library and director of the RSPAS Internet Publications Bureau, and Lynne Payne of the RSPAS Division of International Relations instructional technology staff. It is now hosted by Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, USA. The site has been developed with technical assistance of Reinhold Lange, Sumit Roy Choudhury, Ivan Davtchev, Yared Gurmu, Shel Sax, Duncan Sanford, Vu Tran, Aaron Smith, Caitlin Arnold, Eric Harvey,Vrutika Mody, Mahesh Dahal, and Shu Wei.
